Season series -- This is the last of four meetings. On Nov. 29, Dan Boyle scored the go-ahead goal on a power play 6:15 into the second period, and Evgeni Nabokov made 28 saves to lead the Sharks to a 4-2 road victory. On March 18, Ryan Kesler and Alexander Edler each had a power-play goal and an assist in the first period, and Roberto Luongo made 32 saves to give the Canucks a 3-2 home win. On March 27, Patrick Marleau had a goal and two assists to lead the Sharks to a 4-2 win at the Shark Tank.

Big story -- The Canucks have locked up the Northwest Division title and will enter the playoffs as the No. 3 seed -- they're one of only two teams locked into its postseason position. The Sharks clinched the Pacific Division title with a win at Calgary on Tuesday but are in a bigger battle with Chicago for the top seed in the Western Conference.

Canucks -- Vancouver is playing its second-to-last game of the season, and its last road contest.

On Tuesday, the Canucks lost 4-3 in a shootout at home against Colorado. Three times they scored the tying goal after trailing by one. Daniel Sedin scored twice and Mason Raymond added a goal. Roberto Luongo made 28 saves.

Daniel Sedin scored his second goal of the game on a power play with 4:06 left to tie it, taking a feed from twin brother Henrik on a 3-on-2 rush and snapping a far-side shot over the glove of Craig Anderson. It was the 107th point of the season for Henrik, who drew both defenders before dishing off on his backhand; he now leads Washington's Alex Ovechkin by one point.

"It was a hard-fought game because those guys were desperate on the other side," Luongo said. "I thought we played good and it was a good battle on both sides but we weren't able to get that extra point."

Sharks -- San Jose is beginning a two-game homestand that will complete its regular season schedule.

The Sharks held off Calgary on Tuesday. Rob Blake scored on the power play in the first period and Jamie McGinn padded the lead to 2-0 with a second-period goal. Evgeni Nabokov made 38 saves for the win.

"I think we owe this one to Nabby tonight," McGinn said. "He stood on his head."

The victory clinched the division title and no worse than the second seed in the Western Conference when the Stanley Cup Playoffs start next week.

"That's exactly what we needed," Nabokov said. "I don't think we had one odd-man rush against us and we were pretty disciplined in terms of penalties. That's the type of game we need to play in the playoffs."
