Joe Thornton became the 266th player in NHL history to play in 1,000 games on Oct. 21 at New Jersey. He became the 50th player in NHL history to record 700 career assits at Nashville on Oct. 25.
Dan Boyle's goal on March 20 at Los Angeles made him the highest goal-scoring defenseman in team history. He recorded his 500th career point vs. Colorado on March 26, becoming the fourth undrafted defensemen in League history to record 500 points.
Todd McLellan moved into second place on the franchise's head coach all-time wins list on April 3 at Dallas, eclipsing Darryl Sutter with his 193rd win. Made his second All-Star Game appearance on the bench for Team Alfredsson.
