Everyone wants to go out on a positive note. Battling injuries, adversity and fatigue, the Sharks faced a final opponent before Olympic break needing to capture some momentum. Perhaps fitting, it was also a day of milestones and celebration.

Perhaps the half-empty takeaway from the game was the Sharks inability to produce on the power play, again, despite many opportunities.
A familiar face was seen during the Winter Games Opening Ceremony that was broadcast at the same time as the Sharks game.
