Sharks Continue Hosting "Season Of Giving"
Generosity of Fans at Sharks Home Games Significantly Impacts the Local Community
Here are the totals that the Sharks Foundation donated with fan assistance:
- Second Harvest Food Drive: Collected over $10,000 and 19 barrels of food, which provided a total of 15,840 meals in Santa Clara County
- Operation: Care and Comfort: Collected over $13,000 in cash and received eight full barrels of items for care packages
- Red Cross Relief Efforts in the Philippines: Collected $5,475
- Toys for Tots Drive: Collected over $15,000 and 1,173 Toys
The “Season of Giving” will continue with the Share the Warmth Drive on Jan. 9 (vs. Detroit Red Wings) and Jan. 11 (vs. Boston Bruins). The drive will benefit Sacred Heart Community Service, which assists more than 1,500 community members daily providing a wide range of services. Fans can donate new or gently used jackets and blankets or monetary donations at the entrances of SAP Center at San Jose. All donors will receive a raffle ticket for a drawing to be held that night for a chance to win great Sharks prizes!
