Twitter Tales: #SaveoftheYear
Detroit exited for the Eastern Conference, but the Sharks will still continue to play the Red Wings twice a season during the regular season. There are still many ties between the organizations and there's no erasing the playoff history in recent years. That seemed to be the storyline heading into the Monday night matchup at the Joe.

Apparently the Red Wings give up a bunch of shots, but this game was not destined to be a shootout, right from the start.

After some more banter between Bakes and Ratto, the pace opened up a bit in the third.
Again scoreless, but it all set up for one of the best shootout experiences in a while for the Sharks.
Save of the year, for the win!
So far, the #SJSharks have both the goal and the save of the year. Tommy Wingels, it's your duty to complete the trifecta.— Headless Horsemann (@annfrazi) October 22, 2013
Two points on the road.
