Sharks Announce 2013-14 Broadcast Schedule

SAN JOSE, California – The San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks), Comcast SportsNet California and Sharks Radio Network today announced their broadcast schedule for the Sharks 2013-14 National Hockey League season. Comcast SportsNet California will broadcast 77 of the team’s games while 98.5/102.1 FM KFOX will cover every game of the Sharks 82-game regular season.

A total of five Sharks games will be broadcast nationally on NBC Sports Network: Oct. 15 at St. Louis, Jan. 5 at Chicago, Jan. 27 vs. Los Angeles, Apr. 3 vs. Los Angeles and Apr. 9 at Anaheim.

Comcast SportsNet California and the Sharks Radio Network will begin their coverage of Sharks hockey on Thurs., Oct. 3, when the Sharks play their home and season opener against the Vancouver Canucks at 7:00 p.m.

Long-time play-by-play announcer Randy Hahn (@sharkvoice) will serve as the voice for Comcast SportsNet California’s broadcasts. The five-time Northern California Emmy Award winner will once again be accompanied by fan favorite Drew Remenda. Remenda, a four-time Northern California Emmy Award winner, enters his 13th season as the Sharks television color analyst. Bret Hedican (@BretHedican), a former NHL defenseman, two-time U.S. Olympian and Stanley Cup champion, will also serve as an "Inside The Glass" analyst for select home games.

Comcast SportsNet California’s “Sharks Pregame Live” will lead viewers right to the drop of the puck with a breakdown of the evening’s matchup, insightful analysis, and interviews with Sharks coaches and players. Immediately following Sharks games on Comcast SportsNet California, “Sharks Postgame Live” will provide in-depth game analysis, complete game highlights, a live look at Coach Todd McLellan’s press conference, interviews from the dressing room and player reaction, and a preview of the next game. The shows are anchored by nine-time regional Emmy Award winner Brodie Brazil (@brodiebrazilCSN) and Hedican. Additional analysis will be provided by former Sharks forward and radio color analyst Jamie Baker (@Bakes_Jamie13) and former Sharks center Curtis Brown.

For approximately 24 hours following each game, Comcast SportsNet California’s Sharks telecasts will be available on XFINITY On Demand.

Veteran radio play-by-play announcer Dan Rusanowsky (@DanRusanowsky) will return for his 23rd consecutive season as the “Voice of the Sharks” on 98.5/102.1 FM KFOX and the Sharks Radio Network. Rusanowsky will be accompanied by Baker, a nine-year veteran of the radio broadcast team.

Radio coverage begins with the popular 30-minute pre-game show, “Sharks Warm-Up,” followed by another popular segment, “Coach’s Chalkboard,” and the game broadcast. When a regular season game originates outside the Pacific Time Zone on a weekday, KFOX joins pre-game coverage with “Coach’s Chalkboard,” while the full program is still available on most Sharks Radio Network affiliate stations and on the Internet. During the playoffs, “Sharks Warm-Up” will air in its entirety on KFOX in all instances.

Affiliate stations bring Sharks radio action throughout Northern California, with a full list of schedules available at www.sjsharksradio.net. Games are also available on SiriusXM satellite radio all season long.
