FanCam Panoramic Photo to be Taken at Fan Appreciation Night
Be in Your Seat by Puck Drop to be in the Hi-Def, 360-Degree Photo
UPDATED: 4/23 4 PM -- Photo will be taken at end of 1st intermission. Be at your seats half way through the intermission.
HP Fan Appreciation has a new feature this year – the San Jose Sharks FanCam presented by HP. Fans will have the chance to find themselves in the crowd at the game on Tuesday, April 23 vs Dallas when San Jose Sharks FanCam comes to HP Pavilion.
Fans should be in their seats by puck drop (7:08 PM) to participate when an ultra high-definition, 20 billion pixel, 360-degree photo is taken of the crowd.
When visiting www.sjsharks.com/fancam in the days following the game, fans are able to "step inside" the 360-degree gigapixel image and look around, as if they were in the arena for a frozen moment of time. The resolution of 20 billion pixels is so high that fans are able to zoom in to find themselves or friends, "tag" themselves in the photo, and share via email, Facebook and Twitter. Fans can even cruise around the stadium to see who else was in the stands.
In addition, when fans tag themselves, they will be entered to win four tickets to a 2013 Sharks Playoff home game, a team signed jersey and a behind the scenes tour at a Sharks game.
Fans can follow updates on www.sjsharks.com/fancam once the FanCam is available for "tagging" on Wednesday, April 24.
