Sharks Announce 2012-13 Broadcast Schedule

47 Games on Comcast SportsNet California, All in HD; Every Game Can Be Heard Live on 98.5/102.1 FM KFOX and the Sharks Radio Network

SAN JOSE, California -- The San Jose Sharks, Comcast SportsNet California and Sharks Radio Network today announced their broadcast schedule for the Sharks 2012-13 National Hockey League season. Comcast SportsNet California will broadcast 47 of the team's games, all of them in high definition, while 98.5/102.1 FM KFOX will cover every game of the Sharks 48-game regular season.

San Jose's final game of the regular season, Sun. April 27, 2013 at the Staples Center against the Los Angeles Kings, will be broadcast nationally on NBC Sports Network.

Comcast SportsNet California and the Sharks Radio Network will begin their coverage of Sharks hockey on Sun., Jan. 20, when the Sharks face-off against the Calgary Flames at 3:00 p.m.

Long-time play-by-play announcer Randy Hahn will serve as the voice for Comcast SportsNet California's broadcasts. The five-time Northern California Emmy Award winner will once again be accompanied by fan favorite Drew Remenda. Remenda has served 11 seasons as the Sharks television color analyst, winning four local Emmy Awards. Hahn and Remenda will be joined by eight-time regional Emmy Award winning reporter Brodie Brazil and former NHL defenseman Bret Hedican, who will serve as an "Inside The Glass" analyst for select home games.

Comcast SportsNet California's "Sharks Pregame Live" will lead viewers right to the drop of the puck with a breakdown of the evening's matchup, insightful analysis, and interviews with Sharks coaches and players. Immediately following Sharks games on Comcast SportsNet California, "Sharks Postgame Live" will provide in-depth game analysis, complete game highlights, a live look at Coach Todd McLellan's press conference, interviews from the dressing room and player reaction, and a preview of the next game. The shows are anchored by Scott Reiss, Brodie Brazil and Hedican, a two-time U.S. Olympian and member of the 2006 Stanley Cup champion Carolina Hurricanes. Additional analysis will be provided by former Sharks forward and radio color analyst Jamie Baker and former Sharks center Curtis Brown.

For approximately 24 hours following each game, Comcast SportsNet California's Sharks telecasts will be available on XFINITY On Demand. All Sharks HDTV games will also be available at XFINITY On Demand.

Veteran radio Play-by-Play Announcer Dan Rusanowsky will return for his 22nd consecutive season as the "Voice of the Sharks" on 98.5/102.1 FM KFOX and the Sharks Radio Network. Rusanowsky will be accompanied by Baker, an eight-year veteran of the radio broadcast team. David Maley, a nine-year NHL veteran, will participate in pregame and intermission programming as well as provide color analysis for select home games.

Radio coverage begins with the popular 30-minute pre-game show, "Sharks Warm-Up," followed by another popular segment, "Coach's Chalkboard," and the game broadcast. When a regular season game originates outside the Pacific Time Zone on a weekday, KFOX joins pre-game coverage with "Coach's Chalkboard," while the full program is still available on most Sharks Radio Network affiliate stations and on the Internet. During the playoffs, "Sharks Warm-Up" will air in its entirety on KFOX in all instances.

Affiliate stations bring Sharks radio action throughout Northern California, with a full list of schedules available at www.sjsharksradio.net. Games are also available on SiriusXM satellite radio all season long.
