CSN California Continues \u201CSharks Classic Games\u201D

Comcast SportsNet California, the home of “Authentic Bay Area Sports,” will continue their “Sharks Classic Games” series through the month of January.

The “Sharks Classic Games” series is hosted in-studio by Comcast SportsNet anchor and rink-side reporter Brodie Brazil along with game analysis from Sharks play-by-play commentator Randy Hahn, television color analyst Drew Remenda and radio color commentator and former Sharks forward Jamie Baker.

Here is a detailed list of the month's games:

Tuesday, January 8 at 6:30 p.m.
From Thursday, April 27, 2006: Sharks vs. Nashville Predators (Sharks 5, Predators 4)
Patrick Marleau scored three goals in quick succession and proved to be the difference in the 5-4 victory over the Predators. The Predators were unable to answer the Sharks’ second half surge, and the Sharks took a 3-1 series advantage in the Western Conference quarterfinals.

Tuesday, January 15 at 6:30 p.m.
From Tuesday, April 22, 2008: Sharks vs. Calgary Flames (Sharks 5, Flames 3)
In a crucial Game Seven, the Sharks overcame the Flames 5-3 to advance to the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs. The Sharks dominated their opponents with over 40 shot attempts, and the win was highlighted by Jeremy Roenick’s two goals and two assists.

From Saturday, April 24, 2010: Sharks at Colorado Avalanche (Sharks 5, Avalanche 2)
The Sharks came away with a resounding 5-2 win to clinch Game Six of the Western Conference quarterfinals and move on to the semifinals. Joe Pavelski gave the Sharks the lead with less than 50 seconds on the board and he was the decisive force in the third period, scoring the game-winner to put the playoff contest at 3-2. The final two goals from Devin Setoguchi and Douglas Murray were scored on an empty net.

From Monday, April 25, 2011: Sharks at Los Angeles Kings (Sharks 4, Kings 3)
Joe Thornton delivered an overtime goal for the Sharks that overpowered the Kings and clinched the first-round playoff series 4-2. In overtime, the Sharks managed to kill off a 5-minute major penalty to move through to the second round.

From Thursday, May 12, 2011: Sharks vs. Detroit Red Wings (Sharks 3, Red Wings 2)
The Sharks held on for a 3-2 dramatic victory in Game Seven of the conference semifinals, thanks to the game-winning goal by Patrick Marleau in the third period. After winning the first three games of the series, the Sharks were silenced in the following three matchups and allowed Detroit to even the series. The Game Seven victory marked the second consecutive year the Sharks advanced to the conference finals and just the third time in team history.
