Try Hockey For Free Day is part of Come Play Hockey Month. This program, designed to provide youth hockey associations with a national platform to introduce new kids to the sport, is a joint effort between USA Hockey, the National Hockey League, and the NHL member clubs. With Total Hockey and Liberty Mutual Responsible Sports, the official sponsors of Try Hockey For Free Day, USA Hockey has over 400 locations offering kids between the ages of 4 and 9 years old this unique opportunity.

“We are always excited to participate in USA Hockey Events and love introducing new kids to the sport of ice hockey,” Participant Development Manager Marjorie Taylor said. “We are looking forward to providing this opportunity as part of Try Hockey For Free Day in conjunction with USA Hockey. We hope to see lots of new faces at Sharks Ice at San Jose and the Oakland Ice Center on November 3rd.”
