SAN JOSE, California -– The San Jose Sharks and Comcast SportsNet California today announced that all seven potential 2012 Western Conference Quarterfinals Sharks playoff games will be broadcast live on Comcast SportsNet California. All games will be broadcast in high-definition.
Earlier today, the National Hockey League announced the dates for the San Jose Sharks (#7) first-round playoff series against the St. Louis Blues (#2). The Sharks 2012 Playoffs are presented by El Camino Hospital, The Hospital of Silicon Valley.
Each Sharks playoff game will be preceded by the half-hour Sharks Pregame Live program and followed by Sharks Postgame Live on Comcast Sportsnet California.
The Sharks/Blues Western Conference Quarterfinals series will begin on Thurs., April 12 at 4:30 p.m. PDT at Scottrade Center in St. Louis. The entire schedule is listed at bottom of this release.
This will be the fourth-ever Stanley Cup Playoffs meeting between the Sharks and the Blues, all in the Western Conference Quarterfinals. Previously, the Sharks defeated the Blues in 2000 and in 2004 [(2000 – Sharks #8 vs. Blues #1 and 2004 – Sharks (#2), Blues (#7)]. St. Louis (#4) defeated the Sharks (#5) in 2001.
All San Jose Sharks playoff games can be heard on the KFOX 98.5/102.1 FM (KUFX-FM) and the San Jose Sharks Radio Network (the Sharks pre-game show will air live in its entirety on KFOX starting half-hour before every game).
Practices at Sharks Ice during the playoffs will be open to the media but will be CLOSED TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC.
