Sharks Reassign Forward McCarthy to Worcester
Jason Demers Activated from Injured Reserve

SAN JOSE, California – San Jose Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has reassigned forward John McCarthy to the Worcester Sharks, the team’s top development affiliate in the American Hockey League.
McCarthy has appeared in ten games for San Jose this season and at the time of his recall, led Worcester with 28 points (12 goals, 16 assists) in 38 games played.
The six-foot-one, 200-pound native of Boston, Massachusetts was selected by San Jose in the seventh round (202nd overall) of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
In another transaction, the Sharks activated defenseman Jason Demers from the Injured Reserve list. Demers missed nine games due to injury. He is fourth amongst team defensemen with 11 points (2 goals, 9 assists) in 35 games played.
The six-foot-one, 195-pound native of Dorval, Quebec was selected by San Jose in the seventh round (186th overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
