Sharks Reassign John McCarthy to Worcester


SAN JOSE, California –
San Jose Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has reassigned forward John McCarthy to the Worcester Sharks, the team’s top development affiliate in the American Hockey League.

McCarthy appeared in three games for San Jose this season and did not record a point. McCarthy leads Worcester with 27 points (11 goals, 16 assists) in 37 games played.

The six-foot-one, 200-pound native of Boston, Massachusetts was selected by San Jose in the seventh round (202nd overall) of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
