Sharks Recall Forward Benn Ferriero from Worcester

SAN JOSE, California – San Jose Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has recalled forward Benn Ferriero from the Worcester Sharks, the team’s top development affiliate in the American Hockey League.
Ferriero, 24, currently leads Worcester with 20 points (nine goals, 11 assists) in 20 games played. He has posted one goal in four games this season for San Jose.
In 61 career NHL games, all with San Jose, Ferriero has 15 points (eight goals, seven assists) and 17 penalty minutes.
The 5-foot-11, 190-pound native of Boston, Massachusetts was originally selected by Phoenix in the seventh round (196th overall) of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. The Sharks signed him as a free agent on Sept. 1, 2009.
