SAN JOSE – On Sat., March 5 (vs. Dallas) and Tue., March 8 (vs. Nashville), the Sharks Foundation will auction away Mardi Gras-Themed Practice Jerseys that were worn during the Sharks pre-game skate on March 1 (vs. Colorado).

The jerseys will be autographed by the respective players and sold via blind auction at the Sharks Foundation booth, located on the Concourse level adjacent to section 124.

Fans who are not in attendance on March 5 or March 8 will still have a chance to bid on one of the Mardi Gras-Themed practice jerseys on NHL.com (Ryane Clowe #29). The Sharks Foundation will be hosting the online auction beginning on Fri., March 4 and ending on Fri., March 11. Please note that the following players did not skate during the March 1 pre-game practice and their jerseys have not been worn but are still included in the auction:

To this end, the Sharks Foundation was created in 1994 in an effort to increase our organizational impact on Santa Clara County. With the help of Sharks players, coaches and staff, the Sharks Foundation invests in the community with the hope of enhancing the lives of our youth. It quickly evolved and expanded beyond its original charter and has since donated over $5.2 million to more than 109 local beneficiaries. During the 2010-11 season, its contribution to local youth programs and organizations totaled $272,121 through monetary grants. In addition to the original grant program, the Sharks Foundation manages educational programs, hosts major fundraisers, executes pledge programs and implements community outreach events.
