NEW YORK -- On the same day he signed a four-year contract extension with the Sharks, goaltender Antti Niemi has been named the Second Star of the Month by the National Hockey League. Chicago Blackhawks center Jonathan Toews (First Star) and New Jersey Devils goaltender Johan Hedberg (Third Star) were also honored for the month of February.
