The San Jose Sharks announced today that goaltender Antero Niittymkai has been selected as the Sharks Foundation “Player of the Month” for the month of Oct. Niittymaki will be recognized prior to tonight’s game against the Tampa Bay Lightning
During the month of October, Niittymaki posted a 4-0-1 mark with a 1.88 goals-against average and a .929 save percentage in six games.
This marks the first time Niittymaki has been selected with the honor.
