Sharks Re-Sign Steven Zalewski
23-year-old center inks one-year contract with San Jose

San Jose – San Jose Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has re-signed center Steven Zalewski to a one-year contract. Per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Zalewski, 23, led all Worcester (AHL) forwards with 62 points (22-40=62) in 2009-10. He set career-highs in games played (78), goals, assists and points on the season while posting six points (1-5=6) in 11 AHL Playoff games. Zalewski made his NHL debut on Oct. 12 vs. Phoenix and appeared in three games with San Jose.
The six-foot, 190-pound forward from Utica, NY was originally drafted by San Jose in the fifth round (153rd overall) in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
