Sharks Prospect Doherty Gets the Invite
Sharks prospect Taylor Doherty will be attending the Canadian National Junior Team Development Camp in St. John’s Newfoundland from Aug. 4-7.

Doherty, a towering 6-foot-7, 220-pound defenseman from Cambridge, Ontario was selected by the Sharks in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft (2nd round, 57th overall). The 19-year-old spent last season playing for Kingston in the Ontario Hockey League and scored 16 goals and 28 assists in 63 games.


The Camp roster is made up of 17 defenseman and 24 forwards that have been broken into two teams; a red team and a white team. Doherty was selected as a member of the white team.
