Canadian Solar and the San Jose Sharks Announce Partnership
Leading Solar Provider the Presenting Sponsor of the Sharks’ 2010 Playoff Campaign

SAN JOSE, Calif.
–The San Jose Sharks today announced that Canadian Solar Inc., a leading vertically integrated provider of ingot, wafer, solar cell, solar module and other solar applications, will serve as the presenting sponsor for the team’s 2010 playoff campaign. With U.S. headquarters in San Ramon, Calif., Canadian Solar is the perfect partner for Northern California’s championship hockey team.

The Sharks clinched a berth in the 2010 Stanley Cup Playoffs by virtue of their 3-0 win over the Dallas Stars on March 26, 2010. The Sharks currently sit in first place in the Western Conference. The Stanley Cup Playoffs are expected to begin on April 14 or April 15, 2010, and game dates, times, locations and opponents will be determined at a later date.

Only the Detroit Red Wings and Anaheim Ducks have played in more Stanley Cup Playoff series than the Sharks since the 2003-2004 season.

“We are pleased to bring Canadian Solar on board as the presenting sponsor for the Sharks 2010 playoff run,” said Malcolm Bordelon, executive vice president of business operations, San Jose Sharks. “The game of hockey started in Canada and, as a Canadian-born company with ties to the San Francisco Bay Area, Canadian Solar is a perfect match for the San Jose Sharks organization. We are looking forward to a long and successful partnership.”

"Canadian Solar is proud to support the San Jose Sharks, one of the National Hockey League’s most prestigious and well-known sports organizations," said Mike Miskovsky, U.S. general manager of Canadian Solar, Inc. "Our hockey roots run deep as a Canadian company and this sponsorship provides us a unique opportunity to combine our passion for the sport with our dedication to providing the United States with high quality solar products. Great hockey requires world-class performance and reliability, characteristics that we at Canadian Solar strive to bring to our customers every day."
