Malhotra Looks Likely For Camp

The battle for spots among the Sharks forward group just got a little tougher as San Jose will now have Manny Malhotra in camp. The former first round pick of the New York Rangers had spent last five campaigns with Columbus.
Other veterans brought in to fight for roster spots include Jed Ortmeyer and Dan Hinote, along with Mathieu Dandenault, who plays a lot on the blueline as well. Younger players hoping to crack the lineup regularly include Frazer McLaren, Jamie McGinn and Ryan Vesce among others.
Malhotra posted 11 goals and 24 assists with Columbus in 2008-09.
