Sharks Foundation Grant Process Now Open
The Sharks Foundation is pleased to announce that it is now accepting grant applications for the 2005-06 season!
"Our goal is to meet the educational, social and cultural needs of our community by granting financial support to organizations that enhance the lives of local youth," said Sharks Foundation Manager Laura Johnston, "Despite last season's lockout, the Foundation was still able to provide more than $100,000 in grants and with a renewed spirit, we hope to grant even more this year."
Grants range from $2,500 to $25,000 and are awarded to 501c3 organizations in Santa Clara County that support local youth. In order to apply, organizations must return their application no later than November 18, 2005. Beneficiaries are scheduled to be announced in January 2006 and funding will commence in the spring.
Established in 1994, The Sharks Foundation has awarded over $3,300,000 to date. Current beneficiaries include: A Place For Teens, Children's Fund, Kara Grief Support for Children and Adults, Loaves & Fishes Family Kitchen, National Conference for Community & Justice, San Jose Conservation Corps & Charter School, and the Triton Museum of Art.
