Claude Lemieux Clears Waivers

The San Jose Sharks announced today that forward Claude Lemieux cleared NHL waivers and will be assigned to the Worcester Sharks, San Jose’s top development affiliate in the American Hockey League.

Lemieux, a four-time Stanley Cup Champion, signed a two-way contract with Worcester on Monday. According to Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Wilson, this is “simply the next step in the evaluation” process.
