2011-12: Named as an alternate captain for the 2012-13 season…Led team in assists, third in plus/minus (+22), and T-3rd in points… named to the CCHA All-Tournament Team and honored as the CCHA Gladiator® Defensive Player of the Week twice (Feb. 5 and Feb. 20)…Won the Alton Simms Award given annually to the team’s most improved player.

Career 2010-11: Helped Michigan win the Great Lakes Invitational, CCHA regular season championship and reach the NCAA Final Four and a berth in the NCAA Championship Game…Scored the game-winning goal and assisted on the team’s first goal in the NCAA’s West Regionals to advance Michigan into the Frozen Four…Led team defensemen in goals, third in points and second in PP goals…Named U-M Athletic Academic Achievement and to the All-West Region Team…Academic All-Big Ten...Named CCHA Defenseman of the Week (Jan. 17).

2009-10: As a freshman, fifth amongst team defenseman in points...Recipient of the David Blumenfeld Scholarship Fund for Ice Hockey.

Other: Skated with the Avon Old Farms School varsity hockey team in Connecticut from 2005-08, where he won back-to-back New England Division I prep championships...Played for the U.S. Junior Select Team in the 2008 World Junior A Challenge, claiming the championship.
