2006-07: Named to NHL All Rookie Team along with teammate Marc-Edouard Vlasic. The duo became just the second pari of defensemen teammates in NHL history to be named to the squad in the same season (Detroit's Niklas Lidstrom and Vladimir Konstantinov, 1991-92). He and Dion Phaneuf (2005-06) are the only rookie defensemen with 40-plus points in one season since 1993-94 and the only rookie defensemen with 8-plus power play goal in their first season since 1991-92. Led Sharks in scoring among defensemen, sixth overall. Tops among rookie defensemen and T-6th overall among all rookies in points. Among all League rookies fourth in power play points ( 8-18=26), power play goals and assists. Among League defensemen, was T-22nd in goals, T-14th in power play goals (8) and T-24th in points.
