After a disappointing loss to Colorado on Saturday, the Sharks were ready to turn things around in snowy Chicago and face the top team in the NHL. The fast-paced game, great goaltending and strong shootout turned it into a memorable night for the Sharks as they snapped a six-game losing streak in Chicago on national television and left Blackhawk fans at the Madhouse on Madison very unhappy.

Weather seemed to be a topic of conversation surrounding the game.

And the Sharks weren't the only Bay Area team dealing with the cold.

Always there to help ESPN out.

There were a few Negative Nancy's on Twitter about the matchup.

But don't fear ... we had a secret weapon.

Meanwhile, lot's of chatter on Team Canada predictions.

Other morning skate news:

First Period

With less than 10 minutes remaining ... GOAL!

Fact: There was only one penalty called the entire night.

Since the game was nationally televised, Sharks broadcasters Drew Remenda and Randy Hahn didn't call the game.

Second Period

So far the game was evenly matched with a strong showing from the Sharks.

Third Period

It wasn't the ideal start to the third period for the Sharks.

But then we got happy again!

FREE HOCKEY! And also another round of heart attacks.
