• Ho-Sang led Windsor with 85 points in 67 regular-season games and tied Brady Vail (selected 94th overall by Montreal in 2012) for the team lead with 32 goals.

• Selected in the first round (fifth overall) by the Spitfires in the 2012 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection, Ho-Sang recorded 44 points (14-30—44) in 63 games during his rookie season of 2012-13.

• Ho-Sang scored 79 points (31-48—79) in 30 games with the Toronto Marlboros of the Greater Toronto Hockey League in 2011-12, forming a dynamic duo with 2015 draft eligible forward Connor McDavid (33-39—72).

• He registered five points (3-2—5) in five games for Team Ontario at the 2013 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge.

• Ho-Sang credits his parents, Jamaican-born father Wayne (a tennis pro) and Chilean-born mother Ericka (who has a degree in nutrition), for helping him eat right and bulk up while making strides in hockey.

• When his parents presented Ho-Sang a tennis racquet as a toddler, he’d put the ball on the ground, take the racquet and stickhandle. According to his father: “When he got a little older, he said, ‘Dad, I like tennis, but I’m going to be a hockey player.”

• While playing summer hockey with Steve Larmer’s son at a young age, Larmer mentioned that Ho-Sang reminded him of former teammate Denis Savard. Not familiar with Savard’s career, Ho-Sang did some research, watched highlights on the internet and has become a big fan.

• Former Chicago Blackhawks forward Steve Larmer once approached Ho-Sang after a game. Impressed with his play, Larmer mentioned that Ho-Sang reminded him of former teammate Denis Savard. Ho-Sang was not familiar with Savard’s career, so he did some research, watched highlights on the internet and has become a big fan of the Hall of Famer.
