Hammer Time - 11/29/2012

American Thanksgiving was last week, which was strange for me because it was a few weeks after Canadian Thanksgiving. This was my first Thanksgiving in America. It's a bigger holiday here than in Canada with most stores closed and football on TV all day. Most of the team gathered for a dinner that was put together by some of the players' wives and girlfriends. I think all the boys would agree that they did a great job with the meal. Although I did not get to spend Thanksgiving with my family for the first time, it is nice that we have such a close team in Worcester that gets together for nights like this.

We had another good weekend last weekend. Although we didn't fare to well against Syracuse who are the defending champs. We won two important divisional games. First, we had a great comeback win in Manchester. It was a pretty exciting and emotional game and I was glad to get the winner in OT. Our next game was a bit crazy. Against the Portland Pirates, there were 15 fighting majors. The game really showed our team's character. It's good to know that a lot of guys on the team are willing to stand up for one another. Plus, the Worcester Sharks ended up trending on twitter... over the Notre Dame vs. USC football game that night! Even though I'm not on twitter, that was pretty cool.

This weekend we have another three in three, all on the road. We play Portland, Bridgeport, and Providence. Hopefully we can keep on rolling!

As always, feel free to send in any questions you have for me or the Sharks as we continue our season.
