Sharks defenseman Marc-Edouard Vlasic has steadily put together a consistently good start to his career. The man nicknamed "Pickles" will begin his seventh season in teal, fresh after signing a five-year extension to his current contract. Vlasic can consider it a reward for having, perhaps, his best season along the Sharks blueline just last year. Most notably in 2011-12, the defensive defenseman led his team in blocked shots and finished 12th in the league in the same category.
