  • The Sharks finished with the sixth-best road record in the NHL (fourth-best in the Western Conference) and set a franchise record with a 10-game unbeaten streak on the road.
  • The Sharks advanced to the Stanley Cup Playoffs for a franchise-record fourth consecutive season and became just the fifth franchise in NHL history to improve its point total for the fifth consecutive season, setting franchise records for wins (40) and points (95).
  • Signed Scott Thornton and Bobby Dollas, acquired Jeff Norton, Bill Lindsay and Teemu Selanne.
