On Monday, July 9, longtime player and coach Larry Robinson was named associate coach of the San Jose Sharks. Robinson has tallied over 1,300 NHL games played, 10 NHL All-Star appearances and has served as head coach of two seperate NHL teams (Kings and Devils). The legend was elected into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1995 and is considered one of the best defensemen to have played the game.
